Man I've had my rims on my car for 2 yrs now (Chrome Saleens) and haven't had a problem yet. Granted my car is not a daily driver tho. As far as AM having bad customer service that's crazy. I've been dealing AM for three years now and not once have I had any issues.

I've had my chrome cobra r rims from AM for over a year and I wouldnt have an issue period if I didnt hug a curve coming from an atm machine. other than that small rash the chrome seems to be holding up preety good I wipe them off at least twice a week.
