I'm really jealous of all you guys with more miles than me (currently at 91K I think) whose leather upholstery still looks like new. My driver's seat is taking a crap (split on the bottom and just recently a spot on the back in the perforated section blew out). Aside from that my car is in awesome shape, both mechanically and cosmetically. Pics are in my profile if you wanna see 'em.

I have never seen your mustang Cliff. Outstanding! I'm stealing your fender tribar for my next project. :6)

I bought it with 30k on Pearl Harbor day in 2006, and will have 106k on it by December 7, 2010. It runs like a champ, looks good, and makes me smile every time I drive it!

Well I got my baby 5 years ago @36k miles and she is now up over 115k miles and she still runs like a champ, doesn't burn oil, and runs like a bat out of hell. Over the miles she has picked up the rattles that can be expected from a Mustang, has taken out a stop sign and has had the bumper replaced twice but has never missed a beat.
She some how survived my super stupid highschool years of flooring it everywhere I went and now that shes older and I really care about gas mileage she is getting to relax.
The only problem I have really had was the rear end went out for no reason at about 80k miles...

oh yeah and she can still suck up and **** out the occasional idiot in an s197 GT who thinks because my car is older than his it must suck

Well I have the oldest 4.6 mustang you can buy and honestly this car has held her own. The engine did start burning some oil at 75,000 miles, transmission synchros were shot at about the same time... but honestly other than that and the stock clutch cable assing up... I haven't had 1 issue with this car (that I didn't directly cause) in the 6 years I've owned it.

The paint can still easily pass for 10' paint. The interior is still in great condition... especially the stock tape deck

And honestly to wrap this all up... these cars are so damn simple, even if something does go wrong, they are a dream to work on compared to some other things out there.

YES!

That is their great appeal to me, that and the headlight switch on the dash where it belongs.

my car still looks immaculate, but thats probably because i don't drive it very often. i've kind of gotten bored with it lately if you want the honest truth.
