The US Government defines domestic vehicles in two basic ways: where they're assembled and the percentage of parts content comes from an American source. The IHS adds the third element which gives classification base on parts & assembly.

Only 60% of the parts are considered Made in america so it is given the rating of Import based on not meeting the 75% minimum requirement to be considered American Made.

That's all.

...yeah though, nothings worse than Corvette owners. lol I guess the same can be said about fox body owners. I think it's when People take themselves to seriously and think just because they bought it (or built it) it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.

That's why I hate corvettes so much. A person that buys a vette can't help but be smug about it because there has been so much hype about the car and how awesomely awesomeliscious. So I choose to hate all vette and their owners to knock them back down a peg or two.

just left the dragstrip. took the slowbra out and flogged it around since I havent been able to wheel it much the past 3 months. Ended up running another 13.65, this time with a worse 60' (2.25) however, the car trapped 105.5. Remember, this is a 53k mile 98 cobra with a leaking *** bbk x pipe, sportline 2" drop springs, and stock wheels and tires.

I got a pic of the slip on my phone Ill toss up soon
