And im guessing your dad just got a lemon then? Cuz something was obviously very wrong for 9 turbos
I second that on the lemon. Going through 9 turbos is either bad luck or it was poorly maintained.

I've got myself a new plan for the wrangler I was putting together!!!

Pulling a 5.0 and the rear end out of a 98 exploder and swapping them into the jeep

Got myself a z303 cam too! Gonna pull the heads off and have em ported a bit and have the intake port matched. Hoping to have a bad *** weekend warrior making 280-300 ponies to play with. Starting this summer. Gonna be fun.

Haven't done anything to the cobra though. Still daily driving the beast. Got 93k miles now. boo

How is everyone?

I am a big Jeep fan and love the idea. My friend has a 5.0 in his Jeep and loves it. We spent most of our time in Moab. Just crawling the inline six in my jeep did awesome. The second we hit sandy sections my friend in his Jeep was gone. We would wait for the dust to clear then try and catch up.

so you are saying don't buy a new F250 diesel because you had issues with a completely different engine design?

still sounds like a maintenance issue though. turbos just don't go out like that without a cause.

I must say 9 turbo failures there is obviously some underlying issue that wasnt addressed.

Ohh got a soft spot for ford trucks do we?

Yep I'm putting a 5.0 and an 8.8 with 31 spline axels in the jeep. Call it winning.

I guess I should have disclosed....it is my opinion that ford trucks suck. They are ugly, interior quality and style sucks.

Suck it Keith!
