Default You guys with 275/35/18's on all 4's come onnn in

I know some of you guys are running this setup on your new edge (going to be running it on my 2000 GT). My first question is, what width rims are you running? I was going to get 9's but the tire would fit better on a 10 I think based on what I've read.

Now I would love to get a 10 so the tires looked wider, but I don't want to run into any clearance issues up front with rubbing brake lines or something. I also want all 4 rims the same size so I can rotate the tires, sooo will the 10" (22mm offset) wide rim work on the front? or should I stick with a 9"?

Also how much wider do you think the tires will really be on a 10" wide wheel vs the 9? If it's not that much I may go with the 9 since they're a lb or two lighter. I may be inclined to go with a 10 though anyway, never know if I'll want to go wider out back down the road. Decisions decisions...

Won't the front tires rub on hard turns with a 275/35/18? I don't know, but ya might wanna check it out.

275/35-18's on all four corners with a 18x9 wheel. 275's on a 10" wheel is too stretched. Doesnt look right. Shouldnt have issues.

10s won't fit up front.

As far as rubbing, I don't know the threshold, but my 255/40 18 x 9 fit fine.

you will be fine with 275 up front on a 9" rim as mentioned above. Although, I won't put a 275 on the front to wide as my 265 are pretty much flush to wheel well.

Me disagree, as I think a 275 is a fine fit for a 10" wheel, but only an opinion

This is not technically true, as I run them, but have made major modifications to suspension for the clearance to run them.

69.... you're gonna need to be happy with 9"s for a proper fit, but think tire rotation is way overrated and have never bothered to do so myself. I say run staggered, like your boy Jazzer does

You say that a 315 is perfect for an 11" wheel, yet you drop an inch off of the width of a wheel and say run an inch and a half less tire? On an 18" wheel, I would not do it. I was going to trade for a set of black 17x9/10.5 wheels back when I had my TSW's, but the front and rear all had 275 width tires on and it looked absolutely horrible. I had 285's on a 9.5" wheel and it was a perfect fit. No stretch, no bulge, just perfect. 295's would be a perfect fit on a 10" wheel, and if I'm not mistaken, jazzer you run a 305 on your front 10's, correct?

I know you have done it, but I didn't know how you did it and didn't want to to discuss something I know nothing about, next time I'm up in Sonoma I'll ask you.
OP, might as well go staggered like Jazzer says.

I say 265 up front and 295 out back, good times.

Boy do I feel like a horses batoot. I remember our PMs and I'm really sorry that I never sent you those pics...FML

Ok, I run 275/35/18s on all 4's on my 18x9 saleens. Honestly, the only regret, is that I wish I had a 10 or 10.5inch wheel in the rear. The 275s are more than fine up front. I've never had any rubbing issues. Even the 275s out rear look nice but I intend on selling two of my wheels to pickup 2 18x10s so I can run a fatter tire on the rear in the future.
