Need help on deciding a transmission? Dont know what to do!
I need help on deciding what to do with my current 3650. My 3rd gear is grinding which means bad synchros. Im runnimg around 500wtq and around 600-650 wtq on spray...
Should I have american powertrain rebuild my current 3650 and it will hold 750 constant wtq and have a tested well built tranny? 2100$
My buddy said his shop can build my 3650. So I need a 26spline input(350$) and cryo treatment($$?)...(*also can u buy upgraded synchos??) But it prolly wouldnt have anything like american offers like beefier shift forks and some "scuffing" up of some part so the synchos mesh better and I wouldnt be getting the tried and tested tranny...however it would be cheaper having him, do it.
OR
Get a stock used t-56 that I know nothing about prior treatment. But it would be a 6sd but only is rated at 450wtq however many people run much more with no problems for 1700$?
I really dont know what to do I keep going over it and I really dont know. What do u guys think?

For the $400 difference, just get the built 3650 over the t56. And you can probably turn around and sell your stock 3650 for a few hundred even with the bad syncro to get some money back.
I don't see a point in the t56 used for $1700 other than the cool factor of saying you have a 6 speed.
