Has anyone changed over the factory side scoops over to the saleen style side scoops behind the doors. Are the originals taped on or screwed bolted on?? I ordered a set and they did not come with 3M backing tape. They came with bolts and the company said it is a simple install but had no instructions. ANy help would be great. Thanks, Jerry

 

not sure what afermarket ones are like I know the original scoops off an 01 that I have in my garage had a couple push pin style clips and the rest double stick tape

 

I have them, 99 gt is corrrect

 

Mine had push pins. I don't think it had any tape. Seems like bolting it on would be kinda difficult since you'd have to get to the inside of that fender well...

 

sooo if I want saleen scoops I wait until 4 am and pull? :P

 

If they are anything like the 01 bullitt ones, they have 3 push pins towards the rear of the car and the fronts are secured on by double sided tape...either way the stock ones are removed by carefully pulling them straight away from the car...
