BLK I must tell you that considering
that you are going with a turbocharged
setup on your Ford Mustang V8 281cu.inch engine
that you would be best suited by a Centerforce
Dual Friction Clutch for your Ford Mustang.
It will fit you perfectly I think!

LOL!!

You can look back at my previous posts on the McLeod twin disc setup and my luck with it. I never updated the post with the outcome after I had McLeod rebuild the clutch...basically it didnt fix a thing and the same issue persisted so I sent it back for a full refund. https://mustangforums.com/forum/gt-s...n-guide-5.html Since I had the problems with the McLeod and switched to the Spec stage 3+ I have had zero problems and the clutch works and feels great. Again, others have had success with the McLeod, but not me. Also the Spec 3+ is rated for 850 ft-lbs so it should hold up for you power plans. It also feels just like the stock clutch...very smooth engagement and soft peddle feel. I have no input on the stage 5, but I imagine its not very street friendly with and solid hub, and not sprung like the 3+, plus it uses a full metalic material. my vote...Spec stage 3+!

crap...just realized you have a New Edge GT...cable clutch, so disregard the part of my post about the peddle feel, but my other opinions should still be valid ;-)

Centerforce makes excellent quality clutches I have a Centerforce Dual Friction
clutch on my mustang and it is the best clutch I ever used!
I definitley wouldn't get a Spec clutch my Spec Stage 2 clutch was the worst
clutch I ever had in my life my Spec Stage 2 clutch disc failed in 5K miles and
I did the break in that Spec recommends for this clutch. In my experience Spec's
customer service was absolutely horrible and it was a misery trying to deal with them.
I highly recommend getting the Centerforce DFX clutch it will hold 650 rwhp no problem.
My friend uses the Centerforce DFX clutch in his turbo 03 Cobra and he says
he loves his Centerforce DFX clutch.

I would get the Centerforce clutch over a Mcleod clutch.
I know a few people in the past that had to send their
Mcleod clutch back to Mcleod to get their clutch rebuilt.
The Centerforce DFX clutch would be perfect for you.
My friends turbo 03 Cobra is making more than 650 rwhp and his
Centerforce DFX clutch is holding up great.
What T56 transmission did you purchase?

^LOL. Like I've said in the past few days Bladerunner, I'm calling up three bookies and betting a million dollars each of them that anything drivetrain related on mustangforums, you will say "Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch" is the answer. You'll have to let me know where to send the commission..lol
