Big bore pushrod motors are a lot easier to make n/a hp than ohc motors.
yeah i know. i was just saying that you have to make 350 and 550 hp n/a to run an f1r. at least thats what procharger says on their web site. it may be kind of hard to get that on a mod motor unless you stroke them and add all the goodies.

Stroking a mod motor does not do much unless you're going to run a turbo. And stroking a blower car that's going to be using an f1r is not the best choice.

But we're not getting into this right now. Our stroke in the 4.6 is long enough and I'll leave it at that.

When you look at Procharger's spec sheet, the F1R is a much different blower than the F1a. It is definitely a much more powerful blower than what Ox had been running. The fact that Procharger recommends you have an engine capable of 375-550hp NA to drive this blower leads me to believe this guy is going to have some problems getting the car to idle correctly among other things. And the blower having a max flow of 2000CFM and boost of 38psi tells me it outclasses every part of a 2V engine, by quite a bit.
This guy knows whats up.

Dave Guy tunes a lot of NMRA guy's car I know. One dude had a centri on a SBF (which can easily flow more than a 2v) and he decided on the F1 blower.. The car made less power at the same boost. Took it off and went back to the smaller blower. Too big is sometimes not a good thing. It will make tremendous power no doubt...but just throwing that out there

We'll see. I think it will work pretty good. It's alot of small blocks out their running bigger blowers (stroked) with small blocks. Without the blower i'm making about 425 hp. With the blower i want to be around 650 to 700. Once i get everything lined out, should be a low 9 high 8 sec car. But who knows! I got a 408 ready to be built. Just want to get it out of the small block.

Kind of off-topic but there was a SGS tuned (Dave Guy) Mach 1 at a local car show with a f1 making 830 on pump gas and over 1000 on race gas.
