Well Thats my goal for 2011. What route would you guys take? my goal is a 12.2 or lower. so i need to shave roughly 6 tenths off my time.

Major Guttage ( at the track only), Tubular K, Cams, weld torque boxes, 31 splines, slicks & 6k clutch drops?

doubt i could just get there with Heads/cams & gutting the car though

Lots of people have run low 12's with just bolt ons, suspension, and cams and without too much weight reduction

What heads/cams are you going with?

Bill Putnam has run 11.97@113 with just VT stage 1 cams and a 3100lb race weight years ago

With a 100% stock longblock, you can aim for mid 12.4-12.5's but you'll need full suspension, most of the bolt on's as well powershifting the **** out of the car...4.30's will help too

I've heard of a few people who have done it

Also I think you'll be interested in this old MM&FF article if you haven't already seen it:

So are you planning on just seam welding all the torque boxes or buying a reinforcement kit? I'm only asking cause there is a small tear developing in one of my lower boxes so I need to get my **** reinforced before I hit the track again.

I was thinking about buying the kit for the lowers and then seam welding the box as well but now I'm thinking of just seam welding only since it'll probably be a bit easier but of course with something like this I only wanna do it once and right.

I was looking into a torque box reinforcement kit as well, but alot of shops told me if you get the seams welded before you develop any cracks it should be fine for a street car with some weekened track time.
