2's have more tone than the 1's do, but with cats the lm1's actually sound great I think. I would get the mufflers but I don't want to hack up this catback. It's rare and someone else can benefit from owning it.

With the catted x id do LM1s. Then if you don't like it...swap w/ the LM2s. They're bolt ins right??

I have the LM2. I absolutely love it but at the same time all I have is just a catback, no other exhaust work. I love the sound of just the catback so that's how I'm going to leave it. The 2's just have a fiberglass packing on the inside to help deaden the sound some.

just to add about pypes:

My fried replaced his stock catback with the pypes one (which was a pain in the *** to install), and the pypes catback was actually quieter then stock lol

Boy was it hard to say "yeah man, it sounds good"

You might want to call John at SSS directly. We used to talk all the time, and he had mentioned about designing a system for the IRS a while back. Even though it's not advertised (their site takes a while to get updated i've noticed) they may possibly have them or have prototypes in the works. He sent me a set of their 4 inch tips to try before they were even in production. More than likely they don't have it for your ride (just an educated guess at this point) but it wouldn't hurt to call if you're interested.

I have a catted x and had my exhaust dumped in front of the axle with LM1's in the fall. Personally I think it sounds better dumped then it did when I had the catback, if that's an option for you.
