Default Uber's rear build, part deux.

Ok well I've been udner very heavy consideration on 4.10 vs 4.30 with a 28 inch tire. Basically a 28 inch tire and a 4.30 gear would be equivalent to a stock wheel and tire with a 3.90 rear gear. I had no doubt on going with a 4.30s untill now. The only reason I am second guessing the 4.30 is because I still plan on running my 315/35/17s for shows and some street driving and even with a drag radial I think 4.30s and the low pros are gonna kill me. My question is will the 4.10s and 380s torque be enough to spin the 28 inch tires, does anyone have first hand knowledge of a combo similiar? I did a few calculations and I beleive the 28 tire and the 4.10s would be equivalent to stock wheel and tire with about 3.70 rear gear. Onto the comedic part of the post, I was gonna start pulling the rear last nite but my help had a little to much to drink like always.

Hahathats hilarious!!! Lol honestly, I have no idea. The only car I have had experience like this with is an 03 cobra with an eaton. So what I know won't help here.

Opinion wise, when you're running street tires, you're just going to blow them off with 4.30's, even if they are mt's. 4.10's will be a little better, but not by much. You'll be fine though I would think with the 4.10's. People have no trouble launching with 3.73's on stock size tires.

Just my .02 though. Like I said, I don't have any first hand experience with a centri car, just an eaton car.

The only thing is when I say the 4.10s and the 28 would be equivalent to liek stock wheels and tires and a 3.70 thats in terms of MPH and RPM, not turnning them from a launch , tough decision.

i would say go with the 4.30s and run a 28 inch tall drag radial on your street wheels if it is to bad. m&h makes a 325/40/17 i think that is 28 inches tall

Stick with FRPP 4.10s... its a Ford design gear, the 4.30s are sublet out to richmond or motive or something. Im tossin 4.10s in my 4v car. You have a centri, which will help pick up the revs quicker. You still running IMRCs or are they deleted?

IMRC deleted hence the lack of torque
