lol ok wow... apperantly ive been gone for too long lol... im just ****in around.... i have 4.10s in my car, and yes my 1-2 shift happens right next to the tree, so before the 60 ft mark. 4.10s are perfect w this car, i go thru the traps at about 6300 in 4th...
sorry for the stupid thread... had to try to make some kind of re-entrance to mf lol
this is whats funny, haha. i knew you knew too much to be asking that question!!!! welcome back
What was funnier than dimebags responses were the numerous serious responses. After the 2nd or 3rd time you asked what was funnier I almost started believing you lol. I think the list of 10 ratios in the first post gave it away
Because 1st and 2nd gear would be useless and your max speed would be 90 mph. I have 3.90s and that is as high as I would go on a Dd...4.10s aren't bad choice either but I spend alot of time on the highway. Do what you want but that is an insane gear
No offense but this is a poor comment, you can NOT tell someone there max speed with a certain gear without knowing the rear tire size, it plays a crucial role. People just automaticall jump as say its to much gear. For example I will be running a 4.30 gear with a 28 inch tire. As far as a comparision it will be almost identical to running stock wheel and tire size with a 3.90 gear goes, so that means my 4.30 setup will have the same top speed as your 3.90 setup if u are running the typlical 17 inch wheel and typical tire size.
PS: I ran 5.14 rear gear ratio on a DD and I was fine LOL
Put that baby in 4 low and drop that ratchet shifter on the c4 and that baby cut real nice 60 foots.
