And no, thats a stupid law. So if your saving up for your first car and find one for 10 bucks, you cant get it because its a standard.. that would NEVER hold up in court. It wont be long before that law is challenged and repealed. Stupid nanny states.
Different strokes for different states. I know in germany if you was sitting at a red light and you have a standard if you let the vehicle roll back a little bit like some ppl do you can get charged for assault if the person that is behind you wants to press charges no B.S. they cover that when you take the test to get a germany driving permit. A standard shift is more involved but its hella easy once you learn how to drive one. So that law makes sense from an driving experience reason but its also stupid bc thats the point where you are learning to drive so that should include auto and standard.

I can understand the law about not rocking back.. because you should be able to control that.

But telling someone they cant buy a standard because of age is unlawful, they have no grounds to do that. That would never hold up in court. MA is just like CA with the nanny laws. They try to control ever faset of ppls lives. F that.

Agreed bc thats the time you should be learning how to drive and that should include standards.

Bearing in mind that you took us off topic, sure...

So, to answer your question about Cobra badging. Yep, people would give you grief on that. Some people do it of course, whether it's to make a clone or because like you they just think it looks better. But yes, at some point someone will definitely rag on you for it, so just keep that in mind...

Oh, and about the tops staining. Yeah they can. I had a gray top and I got something on it, it had an inch sized blotch on it for years. You can get cleaner/repellent for cloth tops, you could apply that right away as a preventative measure.
