Either one you can make fast........ I think it's a matter of preference. I prefer manual tranny it just adds fun to driving the car. IMO

what are your goals with the car? dragstrip car, road course car, something to just play around on the streets? auto for the drag, manual for the road track and a manual is more fun on the streets to some.

For playing on the streets it's hard to beat a stick for the fun factor.

never heard anything bad about them seems like a manual without the clucth work just a simple flick of the wrist to change the gears.

That's a cool shifter, but I'll keep my manual, thank you. And barefoot, haha.... That's how I do it in the summer when I'm rockin flip flops.

If it will just be a car that you want to have fun driving, get a manual. An auto will rob you of an additional 5% of your flywheel HP. The manual will provide driving enjoyment in more situations that an auto will. Auto trans is heavier as well. Extra weight is never a good thing.

Only if you wish to make it a dedicated drag car, would I possibly suggest getting the auto.
