My stage 1 felt fine. I actually liked my spec better than the ram I have in there now. I have the Maximum Motorsport quadrant and firewall adjuster.

I got a Spec 2+ and aluminum flywheel. it works but it makes tons of weird noise under 2k rpms

My Centerforce Dual Friction clutch is the best clutch I have ever used.
I'm honestly not surprised that you are having problems with your
Spec Stage 1 clutch.I had a Spec Stage 2 clutch before my Centerforce
Dual Friction and my Spec Stage 2 clutch disc failed on me in 5K miles
of normal driving I even did the break in that Spec recommends.
I didn't like the feel of the clutch petal with the Spec Stage 2 clutch
and the people at Spec were a misery to deal with.In my experience
Spec showed me absolutely horrible customer service and I will never
never give them my business again.
Its like a bad episode of the twilight zone and it keeps haunting me.

Currently running a spec stage 2+, my pedal was like a mack truck when I was running an aftermarket adjustable cable, once it snapped I went back to an OEM cable with a UPR triple hook quadrant and quick click adjuster and it feels fine and the pedal isn't rough at all.
