do not start spraying at 2000 rpm unless you wanna buy new engine parts soon. I would not spray a second sooner than 3000 rpm that's the standard.

but your engine with using the stock crank i would say could handle around 600 horse. now your stock trans and rear is not gonna handle that, especially not if you take it to the track and make it hook up well. I'd start with a 150 shot and go from there, but remember anything more than 100 shot requires a good size fuel pump and once you start getting up to 200 shots you're really gonna be pushing a single pump.

Yeah, like ctgreddy said start your spray at around 3000 rpm. Your rear end and fuel system need to be upgraded to match the motors capability.

IMO, anything bigger than a 150 shot it would be a good idea to have a direct port kit. These intakes are not designed to flow fuel as it is.

Another option would be the Victor Jr intake. It should work better with the larger shots of nitrous.

Eddie I'd use a plate style like you would on a carb setup.

Thanks! ill start from 3000 then. How much can the trans and rear end handle? I do more street dragracing than track... So i might start spraying in 2nd gear to have better traction... also, whats a good fuel pump? svt focus?

If you don't do some good suspension work and get some good tires, you're gonna blow the hell out of the tires every time you hit the nitrous, especially if you plan on hitting it on the street. It's not unheard of for a bolt on car with slicks to snap axles. I think the trans is rated somewhere around 400-450hp.

I would feel completely safe with a 500 dry shot. Im even thinking about upping to a 550 shot just for a couple extra HP.

I had this custom made, just need them to thread the fittings on for the intake.
