I really don't know much about them, but i've heard they're not that great if you're into drag racing a lot.

I'm no expert so please verify. but don't you want a heavier flywheel for a Turbo car?

I wouldnt do an aluminum flywheel on a turbo'd car. The more load, the better And yes, that is what she said.

Load will create heat and help spool the turbo quicker. Go with a billet steel flywheel if I were you. Buy the flywheel, resurface it, and resell it.

don't car if the kid has the car or not....but i am curious about the fly wheel question??? lighter fly wheel=faster revin engine=less turbo lag??? i don't know thats just seems like a logical explanation. correct me if i'm wrong

Yes...a lighter flywheel means less rotating mass. But would you really want to sacrifice strength for weight?

a heaiver flywheel is better for drag racing its more rotational mass. the cobra has an aluminum because it was built as a road racing car. the heavy flywheel is harder for the motor to turn which creates more stress on the motor which makes it run harder/hoter and spools the turbo faster.... i kinda knew the awnser to the question but needed a little bit of help understanding it lol.
