Default Stupid shifter!!!

Or maybe just stupid me for breaking it. Just wanted to vent and maybe get some help. I broke my shifter handle (mainly stripped the set screw inside it so I cannot get it out). I ordered a new one, and it's supposed to have a new set screw. Also somehow cut the OD button wires while trying to reinstall. So now I gotta figure that one out. The OD button has two wires going into it. Could I just set those up to a normal toggle switch? Or is it not that simple of a wiring job for that button? Oh well, nothing ever goes smoothly, haha.

You can use a toggle switch for OD, the OD button is just a button LOL.

Drill that screw out and put in a B&M ripper shifter. Do it.

Do it.

i could reconnect the wires, yes. But one is pretty close to the actual button and it'd be a tough fix.
I'll drill out the screw if the new one doesnt have a set screw, otherwise it doesn't matter.
Just furstrating!!! And the new shifter doesn't have a spot for the OD button, so I have to relocate - another reason for the toggle switch thought.

Thanks guys

He did it with his phone, I'm sure when he gets the chance he'll resize it when he's at a computer.
