constant P1000 code
Ive been trying to get my 98 Saleen to pass inspection for a while now but have been getting rear o2 sensors codes. I send the tuner back to murillo and he turned them off in the computer. I drove the car 150miles after loading the new tune and the P1000 "all systems not ready" code has been thrown. This is a reoccuring CEL that was happening before i had the tune changed. sometimes it would only take 50 miles after clearing the check engine light for the systems to ready and throw a CEL but these last few times the OBD system hasnt been ready after driving 100 miles. I have already recieved two tickets and really dont want any more. any suggestions?
are the cats stock, high flow etc.. i have one in the shop now that had not ready codes..has high flow cats on it and the rear 02's were set to zero by the tuner and the upstreams to a higher percent.. took the tuner off and tried to inspect it and car was way out of line..its got procharger and all mods along with that..also what state do you live in?
The P1000 DTC indicates that the OBD2 Readiness tests have not been completed. To complete these tests a specific series of drive cycles need to accomplished.
However, with the rear O2 sensors disabled in the tune these tests will never be complete as the catalyst efficiency monitor is one of the system that must be operating properly to extinguish DTC P1000.
The SES lamp will not light, however DTC P1000 will never go away...

so should i get a set of MIL eliminators and have the o2 sensors turned back on in the tune?
The car has saleen shorty headers and slp catted x pipe. it had no issues passing inspection last year and the car only has 1600 miles on it since

If you have a catted X-pipe why did you get the rear sensors turned off? As long as the cats and rear sensors are good you shouldn't need MIL eliminators.
FWIW, 1600 miles a year is close to long term storage--when you do drive it does it see any higher speed highway miles in 20-30 mile bites?
I was throwing the O2 codes and I just replaced my O2 sensors and I haven't had a code since. Have you tried replacing them?
I was originally surprised that it happened because I had put in a catted x pipe and I guess they maybe got damaged in the process.
