Default did some lowering, grill painting...fun times.

I got fed up with the back of my car sitting so much higher than the front, I know it already had lowering springs, Im assuming it had rear springs for a convertible or something?...

I jacked the back of the car up, supported the frame with stands, unbolted the dampners and folded them down. Then I put a jack under the diff and took some weight off it, and unbolted the shocks, then I let the jack down slowly. I was then able to reach in and jerk the springs out.

I cut off 1/2 turn from the tops of each one, the upper isolaters were virtually gone, nearly pinched in half all the way around, and in spots literally pinched in half. so I left them out, they were serving no purpose at all anyways.

I bolted it all up and the car sits about 1" lower in the back, im happy. Whole thing took...about 35 minutes, only air tool was a 3/8" butterfly impact.

Then I looked at my grilly...faded plastic, looked like crap. I pulled it off...not fun, those 4 lower bolts had me cussin. MAsked the corral and pony off, and hit the grill with a coat of semi-gloss black, then a coat of clear gloss.

Turned out perfect, really cleaned up the front end.

I just picked up my camera to load some pics, but I just deleted them all trying to preview them, woohoo.

So first thing tomorrow Ill edit in some fresh pics....

Next thing Im going to do is 5% tint on the side windows, and spray tint on the tail lights, hope it turns out nice and doesnt look "powdery"...

I used krylon fusion, works great. Even if you get chips, just mask it off and spray it real fast, easy as pie.
