Ive found many threads about going from auto to 5-speed, but i want to go the other way, tired of shifting! Want to build me a good auto trans with a shift kit and a little stall. Anyone know how hard it is to swap from standard to auto?

 

If you can drop a trans this swap is easy. I've done it along with a couple other people on the board.

i have a 2001 mustang gt with the t-45 trans and i need to know if a 2004 mustang gt with a tremec 3650 will bolt up in the 2001 mustang gt....

 

How about the electronics? Will i need to get the computer reflashed for the auto, if so is that something the dealer can do?

 

Just buy an auto computer from a junk yard. They are cheap and easy to find. You'll then need your tuner to turn off the PATS for it to work with the new ECU. Don't take your car to a dealership, they will over charge you.
