Hey guys just gotta quick question and i thought i might post some pics of the ride, so i bought new tires this week, i got some hankook tires with 245/45/17 on the front and 275/40/17 on the rear, the wheel almost fills up most of the wheel well but not enough, it has ford c class lowering springs, my question is with my tires now what would be the best spacers to put on, i already decided if i get them ill get H&R since they seem to be the best, don't wanna cheap out on the spacers, so what do you think i should get, 30mm, 35mm, or what? also whats your opinion on them, i can't really see them hurting anything as long as they are made to the same grade as OEM bolts, maybe cliffyk can chime in on this since he knows everything lol, i wish i could have gotten bigger tires but that was as big as i could go with 17x9's so please any opinions are welcome and anyone with the same size tires if u have spacers can u post pics of your tires and what size spacer your using, i want it to sit as flush with the wheel well as possible without protruding to much, i did measure and it seemed to be a little over an inch needed to sit flush thats why im thinking 35 mm would be best, anywho heres some pics of the car after a 4 hour detailing job..used the black box by turtle wax, overall pretty good for a 18$ kit.

You kind of answered your own question. If you measuered about and inch to get it to sit flush, go with nomainally an inch spacer. Going that large you will get the spacers that bolt onto the hub, then the tire will bolt onto the spacer. Some people love it, some don't like the idea since the bolts holding the spacer to the car can come loose and in order to check them you have to remove the tire since you can't get to them.

Just by geometry, by pushing the wheels farther out yo could potentially be putting more stress on parts that did not have stress before. You are creating a longer torque arm just like putting a cheater bar on a wrench to get more leverage. Will that added stress cause problems? I don't know but it's never sit well with me.

I would and have just went and got a wider set of wheels and tires to solve your problem.

EDIT: I used a cheater bar on a wrench as an example, but to clarify you are not adding rotational stress like a cheater bar does, you are adding more stress in the direction perpendicualr to the length of the car, or in the "up and down" directions due to the motion the wheels make when going over bumps.

I love the BLACK BOX by Turtle wax. I used that kit the last time I detailed my car and it was looking good! Messy on the hands though if you wax your car by hand..lol I had black fingertips when done.

Looks good. I used the black box on my car right before the AM show last year. IMHO the BEST kit you can get for black cars that doesnt cost you $50 or more.
And +1 on the black finger syndicate, haha it took weeks for me to get it off

I don't think you will run into te issue since your car looks like it rides high enough, but keep in mind that if you want to go flush you should have your wheel wells rolled.
