If I had to guess the person that did the install probably didn't get the metal shavings out and do an oil flush after tapping the oil pan.

Hey thxs guys.. Yeah it's a bummer to say the least. Truthfully when this happened I was like this is it!!!!!!!! I even test drove a 11 5.0. Yes I was that fed up. I've had to go back and replace and fix more sh** in the last 6 mths than I have since I bought the car back in 07. I can only blame myself tho. To many shortcuts.. I saw the engine yesterday and it looks outstanding. The Ford dealership will be installing it and will be dropping their usual labor rates from 88 bucks a hour down to 65 dollars a hour. Still kinda steep but I need to get this done right. The only guy that can do it will be doing it on his breaks and in between jobs so I should be getting it back in about two weeks. My wife is the best wife in the world. She told me to just fix it. I was like Wow. So she'll be back up and running soon and I can't wait!!!

Man that does suck about your car, but sounds like you are getting things put back together. Kind of scares me though, because you were not really that high in the HP range to make it melt. Your wife sounds like mine. She lets me do this crap without even asking why. Kerns and others on this site are awesoema and will take time to help, explain and find information for you. Great forume for sure. Good luck with the car and keep us posted.
