Too lazy to retype everything or look for older posts, but basically if you are wanting to upgrade brakes, larger diameter brakes are the best bang for your buck. If you wanna have the looks, pay more and may/may not have better stopping ability go for slotted. If you wanna pay more and have a rotor that is most likely going to crack after awhile and is not going to help you stop any better then go for the drilled rotors.
If you're comparing the more expensive sports cars to slotted/drilled rotors for mustangs you need to consider that the rotors made for those cars are cast that way and often times are made of different material/alloys. All rotors (that I've seen) that are sold for the mustang that are drilled, started their life as blanks that have had holes drilled into them. What happens when you drill a ton of holes into a solid object? It's not going to get any stronger that's for sure.
