Here is a chart showing "rule of thumb" flywheel HP capacities for various injectors, at 40psi fuel pressure, at 75% and 85% duty cycle; the upper and lower limits of the operational "sweet spot".

At other fuel pressures use this formula to recalculate the injector capacity, or horsepower limits.

Pay no attention to the FI side of the above chart since it is way off. Fuel pressure is increased in FI applications while in boost allowing the injectors to support more. I had 60 lbs injectors and had 700rwhp (around 820 at the flywheel) and only at 80% DC.

It is not "way off", in fact it is pretty accurate at 40psi differential. All that needs to be done to correct for higher pressure is to apply the formula I provided to determine the scaling factor.

For example, 60lb/h injectors operated at 60 psi would create a scaling factor of (60/40)^0.5 = 1.225.

From the chart, 60s at 40psi and 85% d/c will support 680fwHP; so 60lb injectors @ 60psi will support 680 * 1.225 = 832fwHP.

Pretty close to your 820 isn't it? It would take only 3 psi more fuel pressure (63psi differential) to push the 60lb/h injectors to 820fwHP at 80% duty cycle...

http://www.dallasmustang.com/mustang...04-STYLE/12924

this is what i was looking at? they dont seem to be cobra injectors themselves? so im thinking they still plug in? Personally id like 42# cuz its more common to see those, and i found a set for close to 300 bucks, but now the closest i can find is

http://www.dallasmustang.com/mustang...SET-OF-8/13113

so anyone know a better price or place for injectors that plug in?

Those are FRPP M-9593-M39 injectors, they are of the EV6 body style with USCAR connectors (yellow highlight below)--you will need connector adapters, or have to graft a set of USCAR connectors, to use them in your 2000 GT.

Those are also FRPP injectors, p/n M-9593-F302, 42lb/h with the EV1 body (highlighted in green below). However they have Jetronic connectors and will plug right in to your 2000 harness.

Here is the calibration info for the 39lb/h units, and here for the 42s...

so sounds like the 42# are my better bet. bigger injector, plug n play instead of splice or buy connectors. Im assuming since im paying a guy for dyno i wont need the injector slope information? altho its good to know who to get all my optimal tuning parameters from.

The "guy" ought to know the specs, but bring the data sheet with you just in case...

BTW, the slopes are listed in the specs in lb/s, multiply by 3600 to get lb/h.

The breakpoint is in lb/engine revolution, some tuning systems list it in μlbs/rev (micro lbs) so the 0.0000212000 shown on the data sheet would be 21.2μlb/rev...

Just pick up some 42#s or plan for the future and pick up some ev1 60#s and only have to buy injectors once. I paid like $280 for my 60#s new.
