Thats not true. It can and will be bouncy in the event you cut to much off. Anything more than a coil cut and your going to bottom out your shocks.

Cutting your springs if linear rate is NOT bad, but cutting to much off it. Dont cut more than a coil off if you want your shocks to last any usable length of time.

i also added kyb shocks/struts for a fox body since their shorter. that helped tremendously compared to stock shocks/struts.

Also, depending on how much you cut them you may need camber/caster mounts and/or a bump-steer kit.
