yeah he ran it at 3 years but it was tweaked after the meth (the tune) which probably ****ed something up lol, kinda sucks that the difference of 10hp (before/after meth) could have been what destroyed his **** lol.

Maybe he wasn't keepin track of his fluids for the meth and it didn't kick in?

It was pointed out in that thread that the mishap was due to a detonation problem, which even though slight, overtime weakened the components. 99.9% probably due to the tune with the meth. Like Bob Kurgan explained, hes tuned several cars to the 450rwhp mark with stock bottom end that they been running fine for 5+ years with track abuse off mid 11s.

Detonation isthe biggest thing to worry about in a fi car, thats why its so important to take the car to a good tuner and not any smuck with a dynojet or a canned tune. Im going over 5 years suppercharged on my stock cobra block with 420rwhp

Yep, it's all in the tune. A safe tune can put down good power for YEARS. My black car has been supercharged on the stock bottom end since 1998. Still going strong.

That's why when I ran meth it was purely for the cooling affect and not to push timing
