Default Alignment

So, I called up this place that generally works on my car. I have had lowering springs in my garage for about 6+ months and I want to get them put on. So I asked about an alignment and the guy said that most companies have a specific spec that they put in an alignment machine and it helps them align it properly. So depending on the spring they would have it done right in one shot. He said if I call up, I can get that setting to properly align the car.

Is this some new thing? I just thought every car is different.

I have Ford Racing B-Springs that I am throwing in.

I think he is simply talking about pulling up the factory spec for the car and using that to align it. With the specs entered in, it will visually show when it is within the specs.

I had to search my local shops to find one that would set the alignment to exacactly what I wanted (NOT the factory specs). I bought an unlimited 3 year plan, so I can go in and have the alignment changed as often as I want.
GOOD LUCK!
