Yea, flows with h is a good combo. I've had both o/r h and o/r x with flowmasters and the h sounded better definitely. The x got a little old after a while but I could do the h for a long time.

One thing that impressed me with the Bassani X pipe was the tubing diameter vs the stock H pipe, and the tubing routing isnt as severe in the bends in places...plus it is much lighter.

If you think Blows and an o/r x-pipe are loud, try just about any other aftermarker muffler and you'll think otherwise lol. My buddy has 40's and pypes o/r x and it sound too tinny for me. Kinda sounds restricted. But hey, if you like it that's all that matters

Chambered mufflers with an O/R X-pipe is a very raspy and loud configuration. I had this set-up for a couple of days before I had to have cats welded in. Chambered mufflers mated to an H-pipe is a much cleaner sound.

Glad your happy though!

Pypes is the worst sounding mid pipe brand. I hated mine. I am burnt out on the flows with my o/r X so I am going with the SSS cutback. Can't wait to get some real volume and sound The flows sound ok but to conservative.

Yep.

I love the sound of Thrush Welded mufflers, I had some on an AMC 360 equipped Jeep and it was wicked but tame.
