Default ram clutch and ralco flywheel

I have to thank cliffyk first thing for is original post last year with hes review of this setup.

I didn't have the time with my busy scedule to put the clutch and flywheel in myself which sucks especially when it cost me $275 to get it put in but anyway.

I had installed
ram hdx clutch
ralco steel flywheel
new clutch fork
new pivot stud
new oem cable
maxium motorsports firewall adjuster and aluminum quadrant
ford racing TOB

First impression is wow its stiff lol. My car has 140,000 miles on it and still had the stock clutch in it which had gotten to the point of grabing at the very top of the pedal travel plus my TOB had gotten angry with me.

My buddy who installed it set it to where it grabs right off the floor and when pulling out of the shop I went to let out of it like I normaly do and I chirped the tires and killed it lol I was so used to it not grabbing till the very top.

I really won't be able to tell how well it grabs and if the 15 lb lighter flywheel has any effect or not till it gets broke in so for now I guess I can try to get great gas mileage for a week or 2.

I had my 1st anniversary/16k miles in May and continue to be very pleased with the HDX/Ralco combination. Pedal effort is a bit higher than stock, however I got used to it quickly and don't even notice it now.

The lighter f/w will make itself known in rapid acceleration in the lower gears, when the engine is revving up at the fastest rate1

Yeah I can deffinatly tell a difference on the highway with the lighter flywheel. It almost seems like its balanced better and smoother in a way. I'm sure when I get this thing broke in I will be able to test the difference when accelerating.

pedal effort is a little more than stock, I found myself having to move my seat closer to the wheel a notch to make it a lil easier to push down.

The Ralco flywheel is better balanced than the OEM unit and meets SFI specs--the stock wheel does not, or perhaps more correctly is not so rated...
