Default FRPP m6066-m463 blower

Has anyone ever had experience with using one of these? I know they are pretty limited on power, but a guy is selling one on corral for $750 and that would be a pretty cheap temporary horsepower increase.

If you buy it, send it to posi racing and have it ported and run a slightly smaller pulley on it and it should be good for a decent amount of power.

That's the old SVO/RPP Eaton right?
Very fun street car power adder.

^^^ yes, the downside is that it is no longer available, so I will have to fab everything to make it work( alt bracket and a few other things), but for the money it should be easy power for the stock motor. I am slowly building a 4V that will get a big Centri but that is a long time from now for that to be complete. I will prob add Meth to this as well, and shoot for 8-9 psi with a different pulley.

If you can fab up the brackets, go for it. I have one on the '98. Great blower for the money. Some run them as high as 14 lbs (w/meth injection). Even at the stock 6 or pullied to 9 lbs... all the power is there down low. It really wakes up the car. And I love how you can't see it unless you are looking for it when the hood is up.

If you get it and want to sell later on, let me know.

I can fab up about anything. I figure that will be one of the best mods=result that I have done to my car so far. Do you have any pics of this setup on your car?

Go with nitrous. Cheap, easy, no fabricating brackets and temporary just like you're wanting.

More expensive, potentially more dangerous, and runs out...

Not always more expensive, anything is potentially dangerous. I've got a brand new nitrous kit, purge kit and nitrous controller with built in window switch and TPS for sale. If you're interested PM me. It's cheaper than the s/c you're wanting to buy and you don't have to fab anything.
