Default Fuel problems at autoX

Alright, so here's the story. I was at autocross last sunday and my first run of it the car ran great. I start my 2nd run and about halfway through after braking for a corner I put the gas down to accelerate and nothing. Then the car smelled like gas and stalled out. It had to be pushed off the course. The car would turn over but then immediately die.
Everyone that was helping me out was guessing fuel so one guy kneeled behind my car and I turned the key to the "on" position and he couldn't hear the fuel pump starting up.
I thought I was completely screwed and would have to tow the car home when someone reminded my about the fuel pump reset button in the trunk. We found the button, pressed it and the car started right up.
It idles normal, and during normal acceleration feels totally normal also. The only time it's not right is if I get on the gas it loses power up top like the car isn't getting enough fuel. The check engine light is also now on and it gave two codes, a fuel pump and fuel rail code.
Does this just mean it's time for me to get a new pump or is it something else?

Thanks in advance!

Coulda blown an fprs. But I'd explore all options. A new pump wouldn't hurt though.

I wouldn't go spending money on parts yet, I would disconnect the battery and start fresh. Those codes can be coming on after the intertia switch kicked and shut off your fuel pump. The intertia switch in the trunk isn't like a fuel pump reset, the function of that switch is for it to trigger under circumstances where the call rolls over or is flipped so there is no fire. Sounds like you had a freak accident and hit a corner hard enough that it though something was up and tripped. I think if you clear your codes you'll be fine.
