Default Exhaust

I know that this topic has probably been discussed a thousand times but everyone is looking for something different. I am about to buy a GT and the one Im looking at is bone stock The first thing Im gonna do is exhaust.

Im looking for a deep muscle car rumble. I want it loud like you can hear me coming if Im on the throttle but not so loud that you can hear me 5 miles away lol. I have looked on youtube and listened to some, just trying to get peoples input. I dont want raspy sound like the slp's and have never been much of a magnaflow fan either. I was thinking maybe an aftermarket catted H pipe with flowmaster catback. How much louder is the offroad H compared to the catted H. Thanks for the help.

Also I have always been a borla fan, I actually had a really nice one on the wrx I just sold but on the stangs they seem to sound raspy.

go to american muscle. they have quite a few sound clips. i personally have stock cat-back with straight throughs welded in with SLP LT headers and O/R X-pipe.

eidt: let's just say that when i had the cats my car was louder than a supercharged GT with SSS exhaust.

Both Gt04 and myself run SSS Terminators. He runs a catted x, and i run a catted h. I guess you could say they sound similar to Borla Stingers only louder.

Yea but the clips on youtube the borla stingers sound kinda raspy. Is that how they really sound? I def think I prefer the H pipe to the X pipe because it sounds deeper. What catted H pipes do you recommend?

It's not raspy at all with a catted pipe. Stingers shouldn't sound raspy with a catted pipe either.

I run a BBK catted h (made for the long tube headers) and have no complaints.
