what gears?
i mean if its a trailor your car to the track type deal, never drive anywhere else you could go 4.56s probably, though idk if you would have to shift another time with the steeper gear. Idk im an 1/8th mile newb.
I used to run a '86 GT on the 1/8 and used 4.30 gears. It was also my DD.
I would NEVER go with 4.30 gears in a car used on the street. Way to short of a gear for DD duty. LOL I'm pretty sure my 1-2 gear change was within the first 60' with the 4.30s on slicks.
I would go with 4.10 gears. Depending upon how much power your car has, you could probably run thru the traps in 3rd gear with the 4.10s. I would calculate your rpms at the finish with the different gear ratios before you just throw a set in and get disappointed.
GOOD LUCK!

I know alot of people are throwing their thoughts out there about gears, then the debate on RPMS with the gear ration and what not. Without knowing what tire size you are running there is NO WAY to accurately make a decision on a rear gear ration. You throw out 4.30s and people start saying its to much gear gonna be revved high street driving and run out of gear etc etc. If you run a setup that turns out to be a 28 inch tire, a 4.30 gear will have the same exact final drive and RPM as running a stock setup with a 3.90 gear ratio, which is perfectly fine for the drags as well as street driving.
