I am an auto W/ 3.73s and your numbers are matching mine for the most part, but, I'm a 275/40/17 rear tire.

and on checking to see if your torque converter is locked, when cruising at 50mph, hold the pedal steady, and than push the throttle down,(without making the car down shift) and see if you gain decent amounts of RPM without going much if any faster, almost like if you put the clutch half way in on a manual car, and than pushed the gas pedal, you'll have the same "slipping type nature occur". You will see your RPMs jump, and than hold to a certain RPM, and than eventually they will climb..

Yes jtb, you helped me out. I'll give that a try with keeping it steady at 50mph. I'm almost positive that it don't jump tho when I put it at 50mph. If it don't jump up would u assume I have 3.73s then?

 

if you dont slip like that it means your locked up and it sounds too me like your 3.73s unless for some reason you have a super high stall torque converter which is just slipping at 50.. but if you dont slip, I'd say yes, 3.73s.

 

Those tires would make his effective ratio ~3.63 with stock sized tires. That is if he has 3.73 gears in it.

 

Am I running 3.73 gears? but since I don't have stock times..tire size is 245/35/18..is that why its making my gears a 3.63, because the difference in tire size?

 

How many times are you going the ask the same question? It appears you have 3.73 gears however the process of nailing it down 100%, via observations and math, has gone as far as it can go because of the number of variables.

If you want to make certain that is the case then jack the back end up and count the number of times the driveshaft rotates for one turn of a wheel. None of us can do that for you...
