timing is off

hey guys my cars timing is off... if i buy the sct tuner will that adjust the timing??

Please elaborate as to what you mean by "my cars timing is off"--it's not possible for the timing to be "off" unless the crank or camshaft position sensors, or PCM were bad, and that would throw a DTC and/or the engine would not start?

ooo ok well i took it to the shop and they said the timing was off cus it idkes pourly and it boggs out some times when i press on the gas quickly...thanks

They may have meant the valve timing which can be caused by worn timing chains and/or sprockets--get more details from them...

Sounds like your TPS. If you have a multimeter you can check the voltage at the sensor.

well the timing chain broke i got it replaced and after that didnt feel the same....and i replaced the tps sensor already

You are confusing ignition timing (which a tuner could change) with the valve timing--which is what the mechanic meant by "the timing is "off".

A tuner like the SCT can only adjust the ignition timing, the valve timing must be corrected by removing the front engine cover and properly installing the timing chains...

+1 , tuner isn't gonna help you in this case.
