all black and grey theme
Tommy, i'm talking about having the lip painted to match the rest of the wheel. Exactly like hpwrestler220 did. Everyone told him not to do it, and then when he did anyways, most of those same people loved it. I don't know man it's a tough call lol.
I have 17x8 in front, and 17x10.5 in back. I definitely prefer the deep dish in the bullitt style wheels, but not on some others...just depends.

Why don't you put some electrical tape over one of them or some of that black temporary window paint? Just to see how you like the look of it.
Once you go black you can't go back

Already did the electrical tape thing. I do like it better, but i'm just wondering if it would get old really fast. Know what i mean?
BTW, even if i have them powder coated it's still pretty cheap. Basically $200 all said and done for all 4 wheels.

Okay let me ask you guys this... What about doing the wheels in flat or matte black, and redoing the gloss black theme that i have right now in flat or matte black as well? Personally i'm thinking it will look much better than gloss.

Unless you really liked the look when you put the electrical tape on it I say keep it as is. I think all black wheels hide/blend in and don't stand out. The lip is a nice accent.
The lip definitely adds some definition, but honestly i think a flat, matte, or stealth type black to the rim would look really aggressive. Combined with DSG and various other black accents (that would match the rims) i think it would be pretty unique and really tough looking. In general i've always liked the darker more sinister look over the pretty, brighter, more chromed type look.
Rob, in all seriousness what type of of black would you go with?
