Default Cheapest MGW

Doing some hunting and I believe the cheapest place I've found it was for 215 or something like that.

Anybody know where I can find it for cheaper?

Car's a '99, so T45 transmission.

They are only sold (new) by MGW, $185 for the T-5/45 unit.

MGW doesn't need distributors as it's the best thing out there and knowledgeable people seek it out...

+1 on shopping for MGW amazing shifter, you have to be special needs to miss 3rd gear, credit their ridiculously tight centering springs, and incredible adjustability.

I got mine from MGW directly...I think it was 180 or 200ish or so. Came with instructions and a sticker....didn't need the extra horsepower from the sticker so I never used it.

Would you consider getting a used short throw shifter? I think the MGW is the best one but most others are very good too.

If they're going used for 120ish, I'll just drop the extra 60 for a brand new one. 60 dollars is a tank of gas, no more, no less. But it's worth piece of mind I suppose I'll tell myself.

I'm getting one because the leather on my stock shifter is unthreading itself where I pull on it with my fingers while shifting, so I'm using it as an excuse to upgrade. (Yes, I know it's a 2 dollar fix)

Also, I must be super extra special needs. I test drove an '02 with an MGW.....missed 2nd, and 3rd.

Do it! I have to see this! I gotta say though, a trans is a whole lot more susceptible to missing a gear if its spinning. If you try hitting a gear hard while spinning...a lot harder than when she's hooking.
