Default Anyone ever use a fender roller?

Sorry, i searched but couldn't find what I was looking for.

Just curious if I can get away with buying this cheaper model....
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Front...item56459e0c52

...or if I need to rent one of these...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lower...item27bcd613b5

If you have done it, how hard was it? Did you like the results? Any tips?

Reason being, I'm very close to pulling the trigger on some 10.5" with 315's, and I'm lowered about 2" now, so I really don't want to ruin my new shoes.

Any helpful info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ron

I used the lakewood roller. Worked great. You do need to constantly use the heat gun or the paint will crack.

Rolled my fenders. 130k mile paint...dont matter what amount of heat used that stuff was bound to crack. lol It was a pain because my buddy has the lakewood roller and we used it. A lot better than using a baseball bat! But its still a pain in the ****! Make sure you take your time and everything will turn out just fine.

Do you "need" to roll the fenders when running a 315 rear tire?

No you don't need to. It's a good idea if you're slammed though.

depends on the offset and rear end. if you have an IRS probably not. live axle then yes.

i wouldn't do that EBAY rental bull**** either. a guy i know did it for his NSX and ended up being charge over $500 and did not get his deposit back even though they received the roller back in like 6 days total.

IRS doesnt save you from needing a fender rolled.. if your car is low enough your gonna cut your tires...especially with the better articulation of the IRS. My neighbors Cobra cut his tires almost immediately after installing some 305s.

I had to roll mine. 315s in the back, 1 finger gap in the rear, and the tires would hit the fenders and get cut.
