V1, V2, or V3? What are you guys experiences with these and which one do you guys prefer. A Twin screw is out of the question. I'm looking for smog legal with a damn carb sticker stamped on it lol. There is a v2 for sale with 8lb and 10lb pullies for sale locally. The seller says it's "like new." lol BTW don't feel like searching right now on the forum.

The differences between the three is that the v-1 is louder then the v-2 due to the type of gears inside of the housing. The v-3 is a fully enclosed s/c and doesnt require any oil tapping like the other 2. The main thing you wanna look at is the type of trim it is. Youll get more out of a t trim then an s trim.

Pretty much this. S-Trim vs T-Trim will put out pretty much the exact same hp per lb of boost until you hit the mid to high teens. Once you get into the higher boost numbers the T Trim becomes more efficient (produces less heat) and is able to be spun higher (more boost).

Thanks guys. Im tossing around new wheels or saving for a s/c $2500 build. I know s/c seems to scream out at everyone else. I found a head unit thats a v2 for $800, but he doesn't state whether it's a t-trim or s-trim

It is most likely an S Trim. S Trim will be more then enough for you until you are looking to hit 600rwhp, then you will need a T Trim or better. I would offer him 700$.

IIRC, the V2 and V3 have a slightly better step up ratio than the V1.

I am running the V2 SQ and love it. Got it used with 5000 miles and have put on another 15,000 or so. It is polished and got it for $800. Only running 8 pounds of boost so I assume it still has room for more. Sounds great also, definitely turns heads when I pull up somewhere.

I just picked up a V1 kit used with "almost everything" for $1400. I got a new fuel pump for $110 and a few odds and ends pieces, so it's going to be a decent amount under $2k in the end.

Don't you need a different set up going to the throttle body for the bullit?

V3 are the best IMO.
No hacking your oil pan for oil feed line.
