Alright, so i just went outside and checked the gearing in my car and it went around 3 and almost 1/4.. so that would be 3.27s correct? and to make this clear how many times do you spin the tire around? but anyway if its all correct and i do have 3.27 would going to 4.10 make a big difference? thanks all.

Interesting question. I don't think this question has ever been asked so I'm interested to see the answer.

well i know that was a smart comment seeing as there's thousands of gear threads.. but none of them really told me the answers that im looking for.. i know it would make a difference but im looking for someone thats went from 3.27's to 4.10's.. because the stock gearing is 2.73's. i searched and searched through the threads to see if anyone has done the swap but couldn't find anyone with the exact.. the other questions were just for backup on my knowledge..

Pretty much over half the people on here went from 3.27's to 4.10's and everyone that ive seen loves them and says they make a huge difference.
Just do it.

Mostly what you will find with 4.10s is quicker take off/response to throttle. You will also need to get your speedo fixed. All of this at the expense of topend.
I dont know about 98, but for the 04s 3.27 was stock. There is also the 3.73 for a decent compromise, especially if you do a lot of highway driving.

2.73s were stock for 94-98 and 3.27s for 99-04 V6 and GTs. it's a huge difference going from 3.27 to 4.10s. i did that with the V6 and it felt like a different car.

So what you're saying then is you know going from 3.27 to 4.10 will make a big difference yet you have to ask if going from 2.73 to 4.10 will make a difference...?

The 3.27 rear-end was a $200 option for the '96 through '98 GT:

from the Red Book...

OP, if you want to see some numbers as to what the switch to 4.10s would be click here and select the T-45 tranny and 4.10s from the drop-down lists...
