I wouldn't pay that much for that car. There are better cars out there. Look outside your local area. A few hundred in a plane ticket to save a few thousand off the cost is well worth it.

It's what, 86 to 93 = Fox Body, 94 to 98 = S95, 99 to 04 = New Edge, 05 to 09 = S197, 10 to 11 = S197II or something like that
79-93 is the Fox.
94-04 is the SN95 (with 99-04 being dubbed "new edge")
05-current is the S197 platform.

These are intresting but they're close to the price of an Crossfire SRT6 Roadster. If I'm spending $18k+, that'ld be the way to go.

I'm going back to the stealership today and back away from the deal. I love the car but like you guy's are saying, there's too many resources going into it. Who know's, if the cars been sitting there for a while, he may drop the price.

What do you think the car is worth? Kbb is $15 retail, $13 private party.

Forget what a 'book' is telling you. Books don't take factors like current economy, current market value and how bad a buyer needs to sell.
I wouldn't pay more than $10K for a mint 99-04 GT that was going to be a daily driver.

that car is an absolute piece of ****, i hope youre joking...

whatever its your money, go waste it on whatever you want, FWIW my little brother just picked up a DSG 04 GT that was a LEGIT leftover with 3XX miles on it for 10.5K over the summer

i picked up my 96 GT as it looks now with the NPI motor in it for $2000 from a stealership too...

I think he is past the point of being helped if he would take a crysler crossfire over a terminator.
People on here know what they're talking about and you should listen to what we're telling you. That GT is a rip off, get a cobra for a bit more or a mach 1 for a bit less and call it good.
Or just don't listen and waste your money, up to you.

They dropped the price to $13.9. I was thinking about it and decided to take it for another test drive. They had it detailed and filled with gas thinking it was a done deal. I never said I was going to buy it.
Well, it didn't seem to perform that great. I had to floor it to get that pushed back in the seat feeling. I'ld definately have to invest $$$$ in performance parts. Then I put the top down and the drivers window quit working plus the dashboard was squeeking.
I told the sales manager "No thanks" and he was obviously upset.

I know you guy's aren't going to think highly of a Crossfire, or Z4, Solstice, 350Z or anything else but I drove an XF Ltd Roadster for 3 years and besides the interior being a little on the cheap side, it was a fun car to drive, it turned heads, and I really never had any service issues. The SRT6 would bump it to 330hp. With a CAI, a pulley, and a tune, about 400... in a 3000lb car. These things require consideration.

Yeah but an 03-04 cobra all you have to do is pulley and tune and you're making 450WHP easy. Thats a lot more than 400 crank horsepower. Not to mention the crossfire is a hideous car.
I was watching top gear once and they reviewed the crossfire and Jeremy Clarkson said that it looks like "a dog taking a poo." If you look at the shape of it you can clearly see that he's right.
