dont worry about it just pull it out. it's a plug that they put in from the factory where the dipstick goes in, then when they put the dipstick in they dont pull that out and it just falls in the pan.

Wow that means the fluid is the original from the factory. Atleast my car only has 34000 miles on it.

you're gonna need a few more quarts, i'd say 4 or so. also it might have been flushed, when you use an actual trans flush you dont drop the pan to do it. and 34k miles on the fluid is nothing anyways, ford recommended changing it every 30k, mine had the factory fluid in it when I put that shift kit in and i had more than triple the miles.

Well it looks like itll be a while before I get my car running. I took the valve body off and the part holding the accumulator just fell out and the spring was broken in 3 differen pieces. Just wait until monday though greddy because i was talknig to a transmission guy today and that valve I bought off of you might not work. If it doesnt, ill sell it back to you. Im going to a automatic transmission part place monday and trying to find that spring and ask if the valve body will work.

Well I got the new spring, retainer, and also found out the valve body i got from greddy wont work. I also got a Transgo hd2 shift kit i installed in the valve body today. i plan on installing the valve body into the tranny tomorrow morning and hopefully have it running soon after.
