Default how much is a sn95 cobra engine worth

I got a buddy who is parting out his 98 cobra and I have the opportunity to buy his engine. its basically everthing from intake to oil pan and wiring harness for $1600 bucks. The negative is that it has a little over 150,000 miles on it. I have heard it run and sounds fine with no smoke i'm just wonding if that is a fair price for the miles. I will probably buy it and get it rebuilt sometime next year because I can't see going through the trouble of pulling my engine and installing one that has that many miles on it.

just a estimate how much would it cost to refresh that engine with stock parts?

+1. $1,600 is way too much for those miles.

ok thanks guys kinda what I thought. I see them on ebay all the time with half that kind of mileage but they are going for upwards of $3000.

The mileage is the killer, I think I paid roughly 2800$ for mine 6 years ago with 60-70k if I remember correctly.

I think its a good deal.
reason im saying this is.

1 Teksid block
2 your getting all the harness\comp?
3 Cobra intake with better cams then Mark VI
4 That mileage is kinda high but we know these motor can run if maint correct.then just rebuild it
5 Its a good platform to build in the 4.6 world
6 Crank is forged
7 Last but least its a 4V

I say go for it if you have the funds
