No, that's not in the plans till next year at the earliest (going to get some AX practice in before install). The spring plans for the car include:

FRPP - 3.73 Gears, LSD w/ Carbon Discs & Rear Pinion Flange
Moser - 31 Spline Axles w/ Studs & Rear Diff Bearing Cap Stud Kit
MM - FLSFCs
UPR - LCAs

I have all the parts sitting on my shelf except the axle, LSD and bearing cap kit (axle has been ordered today).

Don't worry, I took care of the mesh (Hood scoop got the same treatment) :

This list has worked out really well. I've gotten some great (and $ saving) advice and also a single place to consult on my past decisions. Good luck on yours!

Sounds like a tranny problem. Create a new thread for your question.

Finally got all the axle/gear/lsd/misc install pieces bought!

Now time to find a shop near Albany, NY. Any suggestions? At this point I'm considering driving to Mustang Magic (3-4hr drive) just to know I'll get a good install.

Any cost estimates to install new axles, lsd and gears? I'm imagining ~$400?

How much more to install MM FLSFC and LCAs?

Can't wait to see the difference!

since the LSD is out of the car, you may want to install the gears yourself. gear installs alone cost between $250-500 depending on shop and location. the diff fluid is pretty expensive as well. if you tackle that part yourself, then maybe the install for everything else will be ~$400.

FLSFC install are around the $100 range from what I understand. Don't know about LCA's, but with a friend, the install isn't too difficult to do yourself. May want to get that done with the axles though, they probably won't charge nearly as much since the majority of the work to replace them will be done anyway.

Are there any issues about the gears not being "pre-loaded"? I'm not sure if this is the right term, but basically, can I shim and set the pinion depth correctly with them outside the car?

Already have 3 bottles of RP ready to go.

That's what I'm thinking. I'll try and get them to do a line item estimate and if it's $75-100 or more I'll just do them myself.

hmm didn't think about issue with pre-load.. don't know much abt that, would be better to further research the topic. i'm sure any shop with decent human beings wouldn't charge you $75-100 for an item(s) that is less than five minutes to install when all the other work is being considered. although i will say "decent" people seem to be getting harder to find...
