Default what do you think my car will run? and what mids should i be looking into?

I have a 2000 mustang gt automatic, its pretty much stock other than a full flowmaster exhaust and bbk underdrive pulleys. I am going to take it to the track in a few weeks to see what itl run, any guesses? im 18 years old loved cars my whole life, my first car was a 71 monte carlo me and my dad built now i put that in the garage and have this to drive around. My goal is to get the car to run low to mid 13's, is this possible with bolt ons? if so what should i be looking into?

Stall Converter 3800*
4.10 gears
Custom Tune
Transmission Cooler
Good set of drag tires
Adj Lower control arms
Stage 2 cams* (must have a stall in order to run cams)
Steeda Adj Degree Time
Upper control arms only if it's not a DD
Trim the fat off: battery to trunk, rear seat delete, remove spare, AC delete kit

If the OP is wanting a good track setup he's going to need Upper control arms. I won't advise them for DD but Uppers are still okay to put on even for your weekend cruiser.

Anything slower than a 14.20 would be my guess. All depends on your tires, altitude, and driving skill.

Well, the sportline springs aren't great for drag racing, but I bet it looks good!

I'm guessing 14.30s since you're close to sea level in NJ.

Here are my suggestions for mid to low 13s

Torque converter
4.10 gear
UPR/SCT tuner http://www.uprproducts.com/mustang-s...or-xcal-3.html
UPR upper & lower control arms http://www.uprproducts.com/mustang-9...l-arm-kit.html
drag radials

Gears have always been the most responsive modification I have ever made and Every Mustang I have owned has seriously needed them. My 70' Mach 1 would do nothing but fry tires, period, biggest ones that would fit would smoke, 89 5.0? Dang.. 2.73 rears to a 3.73 was like taking 2000#'s off the car, same going from 3.27 to 4.10's in the Modular. You will need the tune on a Modular if you change the gears anyways. If you know what you are doing, you can do a good job of a gear swap, but if you have it done, the total price of gears and tuner should run you under 1k.

When I do gears, I take my time, make sure they are perfect no matter how many times I have to mess with them and don't screw around, get the entire axle kit, do your seals and all.

So 18 years old at the track?

I say, if you have been there a few times, you can run in the high 14's, if this is your first time, you might hit some pretty ugly times those first couple.

ahaha n00b mistake, my bad. FRPP UCA's (from what I understand) are a pretty close-to-stock-ride option, and improve the performance a bit. im personally going the more complicated route and eliminating the UCA's all together w/ a panhard bar and torque arm, but that is a much more costly option than your suggestion.

def gears, and you could sneak in a 75-100 shot of nitrous and be all over your mid/low 13's. if you have a good tune for the nitrous, and some air in mods, cold air, plenum/tb, it'll be safe for ever. best of luck!!
