Default Car died and won't restart

Alright fellas, I need some help.

A little background before I start. Last night was the first night it got "cold". There was a freeze advisory so it probably got down to mid/low 30s

Initially the car started fine. I drove about 2 miles down the road and came to a stop light. When I let off the brake (automatic car), the car died before I even touched the accelerator. I tried to restart and it wouldn't. The car cranks normally, but there is no ignition.

What could be the problem? It has stalled a few times lately so I initially thought the IAC was going bad, but would that cause the car to not start entirely? Could the cold weather be causing something?

I walked back to my G/Fs house, and when she gets back home I am going to drive back out there and see if it will start after sitting for a while

Edit: I guess this could have gone in Tech, so move it you wish.

Yes, I had to push it all by myself which was a huge pain in the ***.

I was able to start it when I got back to the car. The idle was really really rough but I managed to get it back to my girlfriends house. It died immediately when I got there.

I decided to clean the IAC because I had carb cleaner there and didn't have any other ideas. After than, the car started up just fine and I was able to make the hour and a half drive back home.

Looks like its time for another new IAC valve.

I thought the IAC valves weren't serviceable.. Where is cliffyk? That's what i was told and he is never really wrong with his research...

I don't think it's your IAC valve... If there was no ignition when you were turning your key, that's not the IAC. If your IAC was bad, your car would turn over with the key and die instantly unless you were giving it gas...

ICM=Ignition control module. Check your ignition coils and plugs, if anything, check the starter motor and for any rough idle and misfiring. Possibly check for a vacuum leak, and try the idle reset procedure on stlmustangs.com under engine/driveline talk once you replace the IAC. Check your tps sensor as well and if you had your defrost on, check your A/C compressor, it might be locking up causing a rough idle and rough ride as well as your engine dying at a mid stop. Mine had a similar problem and I replaced the iac and it still did it. found out it was the ac compressor.
