Default Very happy with valero "king cobra" clutch

4th clutch thats been in my car in the last 3 months.. 1st one was stock or unknown and had atleast 25k miles on it possibly 100k, it was fine but the throw out bearing wore out. 2nd one was a luk clutch, it was ok but for some reason the pedal vibrated loud so the transmission shop replaced it for free. 3rd was a perfection clutch, enguagement was choppy, not smooth like stock (i also fuked this one over with a failed attempted 2nd gear burnout).

Now i have the valero king cobra, supposedly OEM 03 04 cobra clutch which can handle up to 550 hp. Pedal feel is stock, enguagement is smooth like it should be and all is good! love this clutch. wish it was the 1st one i put in to replace the original.

Was the tb, pilot etc made by ford or another brand? I'm considering this for a temp fix for my clutch until I get the time to install my shortblock which won't be any time soon...

Had one in my GT also. It held up nicely to me power shifting and launching on a 125 shot for 3+ years. Finally swapped it out last fall, but only did it because I had to replace my tranny anyway.

I have a Centerforce DF clutch now and the peddle feel is very similar to the Valero clutch.

This is most def something good to hear. I will be getting rid of my Spec next summer and was leaning towards a centerforce clutch. I'm gonna check into this cutch now. Congrats OP!
