Suspension recommendations for stock GT with 250k
Just got back from a local shop for my 2nd clutch replacement. I'd asked them to check out the suspension since I had 249k miles with the stock system. Their response was no leaks were visible so they're still good. Secondary bumpy roads are jarring and noisy. I suspect they're overdue for replacement. My daily driving is on interstates at about 500 miles per week. I've read the KYBs are decent for the kind of driving I do. Does anyone have other suggestions?

You are supposed to replace the shocks every 60k miles.... I'd say there are overdue. As for suggestions, it just depends on what you want to do. If you are looking to upgrade or just replace. If you are looking to upgrade, are you wanting performance or comfort?

Having an IRS in my Bullitt I'd say it's worth it, but don't go buying the first one you see. Take some time to find one nearby for a good price. Multiple members have gotten the IRS swap for pretty cheap. My ride is smoother than butter. The Bullitt suspension pack isn't a bad idea, decent drop, good shocks/struts etc. But as Jazzer said, it's just cheaper and more practical to go oem stuff and just replace em. +1^

Thanks for your replies. Sorry I didn't mention I'm a 61 year old IT geek, just looking for a comfortable ride. I had enough of the hard stuff from my Harley, which this 'stang replaced (also replaced the wife but that's another story LMAO). The GT still hugs well in the I-95 cloverleafs, but I have to drop down to 50 mph. Guess I'll just go for the OEM stuff, but I thought the prices would be higher from the dealer than from an aftermarket.
